This place was just OK. My favorite thing was the room size and my least favorite was the service. We had the suite and it was big. I only paid $100 for this room so I wasn’t expecting much but the size was impressive. Otherwise the room was dated, but clean. Some missing paint here and there, the toilet didn’t quite flush right, old carpet, but it was acceptable. The service was definitely lacking. From the service without a smile at check-in to the weird breakfast janitor who playfully but aggressively scolded my infant for eating messily, everyone we interacted with seemed like they hated their job. This place really needs to get itself together service-wise. It’s cheap but I’d skip it next time. There’s lots of other choices in Phoenix.

The rooms were nice and well kept. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was disappointing. The hot food was gross and soggy. Everything else was good that was packaged (like cereal or yogurt). Edit: I forgot to mention that I really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Towels were readily available. The water was a great temperature. The pool deck near the hot tub, however, was crumbling and needs repair.

Overall great place, was exceptionally clean inside. Continental breakfast just okay but worked for on the go days. The only negative was the concrete was broken all over the pool area, so much so that it was all over the bottom of the hot tub.

RUDE and unhelpful front desk ruined what would have been a good stay. Marriott normally has great service at its properties. This is NOT one of them. I’ve stayed at a roach motel with friendlier and more competent employees.
